The much eminent Hunza Valley, the most incredible place to visit not only in Pakistan but anywhere in the world. Often referred to as heaven on earth, Hunza, located in Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan is encompassed in the great Himalayas and the Karakoram mountain ranges and is the inspiration behind Shangri La in James Hilton’s book ‘Lost Horizon’.
We are going to cover all major tourist attractions of Hunza in our Hunza Valley tour. The Hunza Valley has different delightful man-made and natural sights which are the major attractions for tourists. Among these attractions, the Baltit and Altit fort is well known in Central Hunza. The bazaar of Karimbad is famous for its local handicrafts, handwoven cloth (paffu), handmade rugs, traditional embroidered Hunza caps, shawls, and gemstones which are famous all over the world, particularly Ruby. The Ruby mines are another famous tourist attraction but hard to access. In Upper Hunza, we will visit the Pakistan-China border at Khunjerab Pass (4,693m), the world’s highest paved international border crossing and also the highest point on Karakoram Highway. Other attractions include jet-skiing and/or boating in the shimmering Attabad Lake, Hussaini Suspension Bridge (one of the longest walking suspension bridges in the world), Passu Cones (6,106m), and the mighty Batura Glacier (one of the longest glaciers outside polar regions measuring a staggering 57km in length).
Hunza Valley is accessible throughout the year with two different roads, in the summer season it’s comparatively easy to reach Hunza by taking Naran Road via Babusar Top to reach Chilas then Hunza, and during winter to spring season the only way to reach Hunza is by Karakoram Highway all the way from Mansehra to Chilas via Besham.
We’re offering a carefully designed extended Hunza Valley tour package to cover the maximum of this amazing region including Naltar Valley, Naltar is one of the majestic places to visit in Pakistan. It’s an all-weather tourist destination, do skiing in winter or enjoy lush green landscaping and lake view in the summer season. Naltar is home to three magnificent lakes known collectively as the Bashkiri Lakes (commonly known as Satrangi Lake, Blue Lake, and Badlok Lake), Naltar is accessible from Nomal by 4×4 Jeeps only.
